Festival Danza Urbana in Bologna, the proceeds for the planting of new trees

Urban dance never did so much good for the city as it can do this year. The 2020 appointment with the Festival Danza Urbana in Bologna, the twenty-fourth edition of the international dance festival in urban landscapes, this year is obviously a little different than usual. But the link between dance and the city environment was made even stronger.

"The Festival Danza Urbana has always questioned the relationship between body, public space and community, proposing experiences aimed at tracing meaningful paths, developing relationships with the environmental and social context in which we live - the organizers write presenting the event, held from 2 to 6 September in Bologna inside the spaces of DUMBO, the former Ravone railway yard, a symbolic place for urban redesign and regeneration -. Through the language of dance it re-elaborates in an unexpected, original and extemporaneous way our way of living the city outside of mere functional logics. Today more than ever we need to elaborate our present and to build emotional, affective relationships between our individual existences, the common space and the community. The twenty-fourth edition of Danza Urbana is necessarily anomalous, like this time, an opportunity to question ourselves about what our "normality" was and to project ourselves towards a different way of living our cities ".

The reservation is required for all the shows (here the program http://www.danzaurbana.eu/festival/en/il-programma/) and, for the first time, a symbolic ticket is required for almost all the events. The peculiarity, this year, is that the proceeds will be donated for the planting of new trees as a concrete gesture to improve the city of Bologna.
