VEG-GAP project will hold its 2nd Demonstrative Day (online) on Monday 7th June under the EU Green Week 2021 patronage

In the current scenario, cities are moving towards a process of ecological transition in order to become more resilient to climate change, improve citizens’ health and define a sustainable system. Therefore, it becomes necessary investigates tools, approaches and methods to adopt for improve the knowledge on vegetation’s effects on climate and air quality, and to guide a more conscious urban regeneration and planning.

The event organized within the EU Green Week 2021, will be the occasion to discover and share strategies to introduce an ecological approach at the urban level, to consider the role and the presence of urban vegetation in future air quality plans and to evaluate how vegetation contributes to air quality.

The workshop will explain what the role of climate strategies is in urban plans and how the LIFE programme VEG GAP project methodology can provide useful information on the links between vegetation, temperature and air pollution.
