3rd VEG-GAP project workshop in Milan: an interesting opportunity to exchange with experts in urban planning, urban green and city air quality

On 2 November, in Milan, the third workshop entitled "Tools, approaches and methods to learn about the effects of vegetation on the climate and air quality in Milan" was held at the headquarters of the Municipality in Sile street.

The meeting represented an interesting opportunity to present the knowledge opportunities offered by the IT platform created by the partnership and the main results achieved by the project, relating to the effects of vegetation on climate and air quality.

The Environment and Green Councillor, Ms. Elena Grandi, brought the greeting from Municipality of Milan Administration to the working group and to the participants.

The keynote speakers were: Mihaela Mircea and Massimo D'Isidoro from ENEA, Stefania Pasetti from MEEO, Sandro Finardi from Arianet, Silvano Fares from CREA, Marta Mauri and Elisa Torricelli from the Municipality of Milan

The audience consisted of about twenty technicians and experts working in the urban planning, urban green management and air quality sectors.

The participants asked several questions to the speakers and showed a deep interest in the possibilities of using the basic and advanced platforms.

Next project’s workshop will be held in the VEG-GAP Pilot-City of Bologna.
