Last week two events, one Italian and the other
European, highlighted the importance of biodiversity, tree heritage and of the
actions for the fight of climate change, main topics of Veg-Gap project.
On the 21st of November in Italy was celebrated
the “Tree day”, established by the Ministry of the Environment
almost ten years ago, it has been the occasion to propose on all the territory
many events that involved citizens of every age to promote environmental
protection, reduction of pollution and trees valorisation.
Four days after, on the 25th of November,
European Commission organized the first Education for Climate day, inviting the
education community to share ideas and experiences to co-create innovative
solutions to make Europe environmentally sustainable. Through workshops on a new
collaborative online platform. https://education-for-climate.ec.europa.eu/day_en teachers, students and stakeholders discussed the need
for education to play a key role in this change.
